Postpartum support
The postpartum period is a sacred yet challenging time of transformation, where the body heals, the spirit adjusts, and the heart bonds deeply with the new life you’ve brought into the world. Around the globe, cultures honor this time differently, from extended family care to isolation, highlighting the universal need for support and rest amidst the demands of recovery. It’s a time to navigate emotional highs and lows, physical changes, and the unfolding of your postpartum self.
As a doula, I can help you process the birth experience and ease into this new chapter with emotional and practical support. This may include calming your home environment through light organizing and cleaning, preparing a nourishing meal, or sharing tips about newborn care like soothing methods and reading baby cues. I can also assist with lactation consultation or formula feeding information, ensuring your feeding journey begins with confidence and comfort.
Private services
I offer private postpartum support at €45 per hour, with flexible packages to suit your needs.
For example, you can book 3 hours, 3 times a week, a longer session of 6 hours once per week, or a monthly package of 100 hours to use as you need. The number of hours is up to you and my current availability.
Packages offer the best value: a 9-hour weekly plan is €380 (saving €55), while a 100-hour monthly plan is €4,000 (saving €500). Together, we’ll tailor support to fit your unique postpartum journey.
Mütterpflege & Haushaltshilfe
As a certified Mütterpflege and Haushaltshilfe, I have collaborated with German public health insurance since already 3 years to provide postpartum care for eligible families.
Here’s how the process works:
-
Eligibility: families with a medical reason (e.g., complications from birth, cesarean recovery, or physical exhaustion) or those needing extra support with household and childcare tasks may qualify like being a single mother.
-
Doctor's Prescription: you’ll need a prescription (Ärztliche Stellungsnahme or Verordnung) from your OB-GYN or family doctor outlining the required support. Your health insurance usually provides the form, so call your insurance first to ask about their process.
-
Approval: submit the prescription to your health insurance company (Krankenkasse) for approval, usually granted for a specific number of hours or days.
-
Support: oince approved, I’ll work with you to design a care plan, offering household help, newborn care, and emotional support tailored to your needs.
This process ensures accessible care, making your postpartum time more supported and peaceful. Let me guide you through it step by step!
Additional backup doula
In case of an emergency on my side, or sickness, I do work with a trusted collective of postpartum doulas and mütterpflegerinnen, which allows you to have continuity of care.
